The 15 models on our list were ranked primarily by estimated earnings over the past 12 months. Where necessary, prestige and relevancy of campaigns, editorials, fashion magazine covers and the opinion of those in the industry were taken into account.
A noticeable drop-off is last year's No. 5, Victoria's Secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio, who took a break from bikinis due to her baby bulge. Liya Kebede was edged out of Estée Lauder, pushing her five places down to last place. Forbes

I like page 5 & 6 the best.
I don't think I would ever get in the shower with my clothes on, but this photoshoot actually makes it looks sexy.

what I don't get is the Forbes list measures how much they made IN 2007.
Ale didn't stop working until early 2008.
She still made about 6 million dollars for 2007 to be on the list despite the fact that she isn't working in early 2008.

I think it's weird too that they chose to completely exclude Ale from the list. Says on the Forbes site it's due to her pregnancy but still weird....

well, editorial work doesn't really pay much of anything so doing a lot of photo shoots don't necessarily mean much (models do it mostly for exposure). But her VS contract should still be enough to put her firmly on that list, methinks.

She was easily a top 5 highest paid supermodel last year.
She was the main VS angel in 2007.
She worked for Giorgio Armami, Guess, etc, etc ....

Have you seen her VS contract, with change in appearance clauses, does she forfeit earnings while pregnant, or are there other penalties?

she had to work 3 months in 2008 to keep her contract and all her money.
she work Jan. Feb. and March.
Not to mention she might be like Heidi and do photoshoots and the show shortly after giving birth.
