Mia Wasikowska (born in 1990,[1] in Canberra)[2] is an Australian actress, currently working in the United States.
While she was growing up she studied ballet,[3] and switched to full-time acting in 2006.
She began her acting career in Australia and was nominated for a Young Actress AFI for her role in Suburban Mayhem.[2] In the U.S. she garnered critical acclaim for her role in HBO's In Treatment.
She will play the lead role in Tim Burton's interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. [Wiki]
