Euro 2008: Portugal through, Turks beat Switzerland
Portugal on Wednesday became the first country to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Euro competition after Turkey beat co-hosts Switzerland with an injury time goal from Turan Arda 2-1 in their Group A game played in Basle.
A torrential downpour during the game made the pitch practically unplayable, but Murat Yakin gave the home side the lead in the 32nd minute. Substitute Semih Semturk, who came on at half-time, equalized in the 57th minute.
Arda's goal three minutes into injury time killed off any hopes the hosts still had of advancing and kept alive Turkish hopes of qualifying for the next round.
The Portuguese had earlier beaten the Czech Republic 3-1 to move to six points, while the Czechs and Turkey, who will face each other in their last game in Geneva on Sunday have three each. Switzerland has no point after their two games. Source

Los Angeles Coliseum - 92,500 and thats every game.
The Biggest Stadium is Beaver Stadium where Penn State Plays 107,282.
Next is the "Big House" where Michigan plays 106,201.

American football evolved out of "Soccer" and Rugby, hence the name idiot. The Pads are a safety per caution, in the early days of football no padding was used. Due to a high level of crippling injuries and deaths pads were introduced. If you didn't play football with pads, it would be extremely dangerous due to the speed that its played at.
I know that you didn't say football players are pansies, when every time two soccer players come together one of them folds. It's a pussy sport for a pussy continent.

American football is just a pussy version of rugby, i know amercan footballers wear padding because it is a fast paced sport but actually American football is much slower paced than the more hectic rugby league and rygby players dont wear half as much protection as american footballers. As for soccer( as you guys call it)Soccr will always be bigger than american football, it is a much skillfull and more fast paced game, the only famous american footballer i know is reggie bush, thats only cause he is going out with Kim.K but im sure you have heard of ronaldo, beckham, zidane, ronaldinho. p.s america is a great nation that has given us alot of great things such as the internet ( we thank you for all these things) but american football is a load of bullshit.

In what possible way is england better than America. I live in Southern California, name on thing that England has that we envy in Socal. Not a goddamn thing. In Southern California you can go a whole winter without putting on a jacket. We have some of the best beaches on the planet. If California seceded from America we would still have a higher GNP (Gross National Product) and GDP (Gross Domestic Product)than the whole UK.
