Hayden Panettiere Awarded For Trying to Save Dolphins
Hayden received the Gretchen Wyler Award, given annually at the Genesis Awards to a celebrity who brings attention to animal causes. Wyler, who founded the awards and was also an actress, died last May from breast cancer, two months after presenting the first award to Paul McCartney.
"As an actress, you always dream of getting awards like the Golden Globe award, but I never expected to get an award that is this special and important to me as this," Hayden said through tears. "There are people who dedicate their entire lives to preserving the environment and defending animals, they are so much more deserving of something like this." People

Her bf is that Milo actor on the same show as her. I think he has a barely legal fixation because he dated Alexis Bledel when she was really young too. But he dumped her after 3 years... I guess she got too old for him.

@16: Milo is only four years older than Alexis Bledel. I think he was 24 and she was 20 when they started dating. That's pretty much normal, I think. Certainly not in the same jailbait ballpark as Milo at 29 and Hayden at 17.
