Hail the conquering 'Heroes,' worth watching againThe subtitle of this season is "Villains," and you would be correct in assuming that new characters will be introduced as foils to the current motley crew of good guys and gals.
Based on Monday night's first episode, series creator Tim Kring and the rest of his writers are taking a broader perspective on things. Many of the people we have come to know and recognize as heroes make really dumb decisions for various reasons.
Some of the actions will infuriate fans of the show, but on the plus side, the major story arc for this season is set in motion within the first 30 minutes (a stark contrast to last season, in which it seemed to take a half-dozen or so episodes before the series became engaging again).
Every choice and action has consequences, and though you may be motivated at this moment by some higher moral purpose, that doesn't mean your decisions aren't going to come back to haunt you. Source
