They did not have the backbone to stand up to the republicans, because they were afraid of being called unpatriotic or weak on national defense. The democrats cried that they just gave him the authorization to use force, but didn’t think he would use it. What? It's funny because they polled Canadians and if we had a vote, 86% would vote for Obama. 86%. We also happen to have a significantly lower high school dropout rate and among the highest rates of posy-secondary attendance in the world, a lower rate of obesity, low racial tensions, a higher life expectancy, lower poverty rates despite a lower standard of living overall (in other words, a bigger middle-class) and ower infant mortality. This is entirely coincidental, I'm sure.

I am by no means anti-American, although admittedly, the comment was poorly timed - perhaps the biggest gaffe since white after Labour Day. I just think the government policies there could use some reform, more of the same is NOT what your country needs. If you really look at McCain you will see that he is not "more of the same" as Obama's campaign has tagged him. He is a moderate and conservatives, which Bush is, don't really like him.
