Kristin Kreuk Cut Her Hair Short! Upgrade/Downgrade?

Kristin Kreuk wrote about cutting her hair on her blog:For three years I have been wanting to cut my hair. It’s been long for about 15 bloody years. If I had not been working on a television series I would have cut it a while ago. I suppose this is kind of an expression of freedom, haha. Us gals tend to have so much tied up in hair. There is like this emotional attachment to it, and it is apparently a REALLY big deal to cut it all off…in one go. I had a plethora or offers to come with, to document, and I just went in there on my own and Sarah (she is the key hairstylist on Smallville, and is freakin rad) tied it in a ponytail and sawed the sucker off…

The shorter hair is fine but it looks like she's lost weight and she was always kind of tiny to begin with. Still very beautiful though.

damn this girl, shes so annoyingly adorable and pretty. I bet shes like a disney princess and has cute little animals following her around singing about how lovely she is day and night. Shes so pretty, and with short hair no she just looks like a younger shannon sossamon whos also stunning. But tragically for her, even with short hair she can never escape Lana Lang. The most annoying character in history.

Short hair is good if the girl can support it... and strangely enough she presents why its cute and why its bad in 2 pics... The first is good since it has that sort of pixie look to it and the 2nd... which shows not all faces are meant for short hair... but obviously she just has to shift it around for the right look...
Then again... I don't remember what she looks like with long hair since Smallville isn't really as big as it was so she doesn't get much attention...

OMG Kristin Kreuk cut her hair!!! i thought she was obligated to keep it long. wow. short hair: some girls can pull it off and some can't. Kristin is a gorgeous girl so no matter what hair style she rocks she's still going to be gorgeous. what i'm surprised by are her lips. those are some pretty full natural lips! i always assumed her to have thin lips.

If she wants to escape the pretty/cute/innocent look she will have to get out of the shitty show Smallville, take some acting lessons and choose different roles.

In the history of Earth, only a handful of young women have looked better with short hair. She isn't one of them.
It tends to makes you look (1) more boyish and (2) older. Don't do it.
Yes, Kristin is still hot, I'd date her even if she were bald, but that doesn't mean she looks better.

Great advice, McPerv. I can think of many women who would look better with longer hair and none who would look better with short hair. Long hair is just more feminine and attractive. Rhonda, you can grow it out or get extensions but you look very cute in your pic.

Ah ha. That explains it. She's adorable!
I have never had extensions. I just keep my hair as long as possible (right now a couple of inches below bottom of the shoulder blades but I just got a trim). I have heard that the maintenance on extensions can be a bitch. And they can be ultra expensive, depending on what kind you get. Gelatin caps are supposed to help grow your hair out faster, I have read.

I cut from about the middle of my back to right below my shoulders when I was pregnant (she was born in August and it gets to over 100 here in Louisiana & I couldn't stand the hair). My hormones have been out of whack ever since I gave birth, and my hair started to change (the pregnancy was great; the aftermath wasn't). So, I chopped it into a bob recently. I cried all the next day.

Oh my Lord, it is hot and sticky here. But, we're used to it. We evacuated to Sugar Land, TX for Katrina and it was hot as hell. I was praying for the day I would be able to come home to my humidity.

I did try these vitamins that are supposedly for hair, but it didn't seem to work. This is my punishment for being so impatient. Bad hair.

It will grow! Give it some more time. I did the bob thing once too and never again. It's cute on little girls but not as much on grown up ones. Anyway, just be glad it's not short layers. Those would take years to grow back.

I hate her haircut! I don't think it flatters her at all. I used to think she was the most beautiful female I have ever seen, but not anymore. Plus, her face looks gaunt, I don't get why she lost weight when she was so perfect already. Her life and her body, though. Just...BLECH!!!
