My best friend's wedding, the flip sideThe only (somewhat) saving grace is the casting of two highly appealing actors in the leads -- ''McDreamy'' himself, Patrick Dempsey of ''Grey's Anatomy'' fame, and the attractive and thoroughly genuine Michelle Monaghan. Though forced to make do with one predictable scene after another, these two perform with charm -- and do their darnedest to sparkle plenty on the big screen. It's just a shame they were not given better material.
Dempsey and Monaghan -- and the rest of the cast, for that matter -- give it their all, but it just isn't enough to lift this formulaic nonsense out of the stew of mediocrity in which it merely simmers from start to finish. Source

True story. Sunday I took my kid to Speed Racer and there was a weekend daddy in line in front of me with his 11-year-old son. I assumed he'd be going to the same thing as me, or something else manly, and instead I saw them walking into Made of Honor. What the hell.
