^ Yes, it is a Granny Smith apple and you use them for baking. I don't know who Granny Smith was. I guess someone's Grandmother who liked making apple pies? I wonder why they didn't take the sticker off of the apple for the photoshoot? (I think it's on in at least one of the photos.)
