New Bond Flick Rakes In $25 Million; Breaks Box-Office Record!

I don't know about you bastards, but I'm really looking forward to this movie!
Why the hell are they releasing such a huge release a full two weeks earlier in Britain?! Are Sony execs smoking crack? Haven't they heard about Internet piracy? With so much buzz around this flick, I wouldn't be surprised if slim-shady versions of the "Quantum of Solace" are already floating around...
Anyway, the huge debut beat out the previous record of 14.9 million pounds held by "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" released in 2005, as well as the 11.9 mil pounds earned by the previous "Bond" effort, "Casino Royale" back in '06. Seeing how "Casino Royale" ran away w/ nearly $600 mil, the latest "Bond" will look to approach a billion in worldwide ticket sales.
"Quantum of Solace" opened in Britain on Friday and will release in the States on November 14.

i saw a showing Saturday. pretty damn good, but not amazing. certainly feels like the second in a trilogy though.

yeh there wasn't a lot of plot development, it was more about feelings than an actual plot as such.
