Scarlett Johansson is Silken Floss in Will Eisner's "The Spirit"

Scarlett on the cover of Wizard Universe.Scarlett Johansson hits the big screen next month, alongside Eva Mendes, Paz Vega & other hotties in the cult comic book favorite, The Spirit. We've reported on this film for more than a year & the it'll finally hit theaters on Christmas Day, 2008. It's been in production for way more than a year, so we'll see if it lives up to all the hype.
The film is written & directed by comic book industry icon Frank Miller. In a recent interview w/ Total Film mag, Scarlett dropped some goodies about her slightly naughty character & also a lil' about working w/ Mr. Frank Miller:
Well, she's a doctor or a nurse, really, but yes, she's very sexy. Frank really allowed that to develop. Very forward and sexy in a 1940s way.
That was so much fun. I mean the dialogue was great. Only Frank could write this stuff... Forget about obscene - it's worse than that because it's so clever!
Like a lot of the characters, she's kind of in a grey area. They're not really good and they're not really bad, you know? They're products of their environment, I think. [More in the latest issue of Total Film; hits newsstands tomorrow]
