Ebanks was engaged to rapper, actor, and comedian Nick Cannon. On October 4, 2007, People magazine announced that the couple has ended their engagement. Selita likes to date athletes and has been very successful running into them at events. Although she has been linked to Tennis player James Blake and Saskatchewan Roughriders football player Tad Kornegay, she dated star defensive lineman for the New York Giants, Osi Umenyiora until May 2008 and has since been seen with rapper Kanye West.[13] Selita also dated her ex-manager Marc Chamberlin and allegedly moved on quickly to a more strategic relationship to her career with Nick Cannon.
