'We can't carry on living in Camden. We need to move out to the country,' said Fielder Civil. Mitch Winehouse recently told the SUnday Times newspaper; "If they do, they could have the most fantastic life together, with the full blessing of my family. Whatever happens, we won't be where we are now in two years."
Winehouse added that he doesn't blame his daughter's drug problems on her husband "He didn't coerce her to take drugs in any way. "I wish he had. Because if he had she would most likely have said, 'I don't want to do it.' "
Mitch's comments were published shortly after Amy's apparent breakdown of the previous evening (Saturday 26.07.08). She reportedly sat on the floor sobbing outside a bar before lashing out at a minder who tried to help her, screaming: "F**k off and just leave me alone - that's not the way I do things." IDK what hurts my heart more, the fact that this is happening to Amy or the fact that the people around her sit back and allow this to continue. I know it’s self inflicted but seriously someone needs to step in before its too late. I’m not talking about that half assed attempt her father did. I’m talking about that Sheryl Crow 'Strong Enough' stuff. “When I’ve shown you that I just don’t care, when I’m throwing punches in the air, when I’m broken down and I can’t stand, would you be man enough to be my man.” I’m talking watching her every second of every minute of every day. Talking her through whatever demons she is struggling with. Physically restraining her if need be. You know a reassuring smile, voice, and touch. Whose heart hurts more, the person who causes a deadly car wreck and is stuck unconscious in the burning car or the bystander who does nothing as they watch the car burn?
All the talent, fame, and money in the world yet she doesn't have one person who cares enough for her to save her. :~(

you're right she has no one to blame but herself. but guess what amy winehouse is no longer available. i've seen this stuff in real life and after a certain point the person you once knew has checked out. its now just a body that needs a drug like a body that needs air. thats when 'loved' ones must make her problem their problem.

Sir Percy pretty much nailed. I can't feel nothing but need for some sort of prayer for this woman. I don't know what drove her to this form, but I recently heard she was admited to the hospital for a drug interaction. Poor soul.
