Deborah was paid to host to the party which was held at Tao Nightclub in Vegas.You have to admit, she's not lookin' bad for 39! Go Debbie! Anyway, for all you puzzled kids out there, here's some info:
Deborah Ann "Debbie" Gibson (born August 31, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter who was a teen pop icon. She was popular in the late 1980s and the early 1990s. At the age of 17, Gibson was the youngest artist ever to write, produce, and perform a Billboard Hot 100 # 1 hit single (in the USA) with her song "Foolish Beat[1][2]," effectively taking the crown from her then teen idol George Michael (who had, coincidentally, been asked to produce "Foolish Beat," but passed on the opportunity).
She appeared repeatedly on the covers of teen magazines (in the USA), such as Tiger Beat. She has gone on to starring roles on Broadway and touring musicals, as well as independent film and television work. No one in entertainment sickens me more than this washed-up, sell-out, phony fame whore then Deborah "Debbie" Gibson. She was such a goody-goody during her 15 minutes of fame, talking trash about other artists and acting holier than thou because she would "never be in Playboy" and because she wrote such masterpieces as "Shake Your Love" and "Electric Youth". When as soon as the well ran dry on her alleged music career, Todd Newton was on Stern telling how she was a master at sucking his cock, she was spreading 'em for Hef in Playboy, and now whores and sluts it up like an 18 yr old any time there is a camera. You are a 39 year-old washed up fame whore, get over yourself. You are about as relevant as the Commodore 64 computer and the rotary dial phone. You are worse than Paris Hilton, et al, because while they may slut it up because they don't have a better route to fame, you chose to go away from your alleged values and become a cheap ho. Fuck you, Debbie (yeah, you act 16, we'll call you, Debbie). You are a disgrace to anyone whoever supported your career at any point.

Very true. I'm embarassed to say that I used to be a big fan of hers (youthful male exuberance). I don't care that she did it, I just care that her whole image which her and her family pitched relentlessly with complete demagoguery was a total shame. As soon as the career tanked she went from prude to whore. I respect someone who goes slutty from the start more than this approach.
