While I was never a fan of his music, I will admit he was a super star.
You should see it down here in LA, they are starting to close down the streets around the hospital he was taken too. It is going to be a madhouse in West LA tonight, traffic wise, and will only get worse tomorrow I think.

Strangely, I feel unsurprised by this.

People settle cases for many reasons. Is that settlement figure fact?

There are two types of action. Criminal and civil. The prosecutor felt they could not get a criminal indictment the first time. He settled a civil suit before it went to trial. You may believe that is an admission of guilt, but there are many reasons to settle a civil suit. The second time the prosecutors were able to get an indictment and he was found not guilty. That weakened the civil suit. (They weren't able to pull off an O.J. verdict.)

YOU might remember that he PAID his first kid accuser 20 MILLION bucks to not testify.
There are also other kids that he's been around in other nations where their poor families don't have the ability to sue him for molestation. Not to mention that he's got those WHITE KIDS that he used to make walk around with their heads covered so that people wouldn't know that he didn't father them. He paid the mother millions to get married, get IVF, have those two kids then divorce and sign over all custody.
On top of that mystery 3rd kid that had custody of by some unknown means.

The bottom line is, the allegations were never proven.
If my kid was molested, I wouldn't settle for a billion dollars AND I'd kill the motherfucker who did it.

We all have duality in us don't we?? We have the person we are at our best and the person we are at our worst. A celeb is no different. I don't think MJ was actually SEXUALLY interested in children as much as he was fascinated with being a CHILD himself. True he may have acted inappropriatley and those kids probably were scared by those bizzare acts. But there was also a scared human being behind those acts as well. Compassion is key. HALT!! No, those actions aren't normal... not normal in the least! However, I'm not child-like, but Michael Jackson is. The 3 actions you mentioned, that he's admitted to, are normal behaviors between children. I first tasted beer at the age of 5 and didn't like it. I slept in the same bed with my male friends and cousins during sleep-overs as a child. I've showered naked in view of other boys after gym class, football practice and games, in elementary and high school. Michael Jackson was convincingly singing songs of love, desire and devotion for women before he, or I, reached puberty. His "normal" isn't yours or mine. Until you walk in another person's shoes you can't judge them unless it's been proven they've crossed the line. And it hasn't been based on the dictates of our judicial system. If you don't like it, move.
