Cornrows are unnatural..? ANYWAYS, in this great superficial society we live in people judge you on your appearance. Black people aren't "obsessed" with our hair but the american standard of beauty dictates straight long hair is more beautiful than curly or shall we say "nappy" hair. i find it hard to believe you could live anywhere and there not be whatever standard of beauty/what's considered good.
do think there could be places more open tolerant or have more expanded views on what counts as beautiful.but there no escaping defined concepts of beauty.
