Assuming that you're implying that her latina background, as exemplified by her last name being Gomez, somehow makes it sensible that she attend the awards show, what does being latina have to do with the NAACP awards? Plus, while her name may be Gomez, she's as white bread as they come, with a white middle class upbringing, making anything latina about her that much less relevant to the proceedings. I'm not ragging on her or saying that there's anything wrong with her, I'm just saying that she seems extremely out of place at the NAACP awards.
