Most likely the store owner didn't know who she was and would sell her anything-she's a rich woman. I've shopped in Dubai before, the store owners go out of their way to sell you something, especially if you're someone coming from outside. Arabs, Middle eastern people in general love money. Also, I know a lot of women who wear niqab and they would be offended. This is a pretty sacred dress that muslim women wear, it shows that they are modest and devout. Kim, being the airhead she is, most likely doesn't know the significance/reasons behind the niqab and probably thought it was just a pretty costume. Where the hell would she wear it, if she wanted to wear it? Probably to a halloween party. She is full of shit.

Yes, Kim is a ditzy, attention-seekeing whore. But it's not like she was even being cruel or inflammatory about it. She's just an idiot. Calling for her death and dismemberment is a bit reactionary, no?
It doesn't matter where or why she wears it. Muslim women don't have exclusive right to that particular cut of fabric because their brand of fairy tale dictates them to wear it.
It's fine if you're sensitive to this particularly backwards and repressive aspect of this culture, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to be.
