NYC: Irina Shayk @ Madonna's "W.E." Premiere

As with the Madalina Ghenea post, Irina Shayk doesn't appear in Madonna's W.E. but since we're not posting photos of Madonna to plug the film, we'll take this opportunity to give you the facts before moving forward with the rest of the post.

W.E. is co-written, directed and produced by Madonna and stars Abbie Cornish, Oscar Isaac, Richard Coyle, James D'Arcy and Andrea Riseborough. With Madonna having done the majority of the work and with a $36 million budget, who's looking to catch this film, which premiered last year at the Venice Film Festival? W.E. tells the story of two fragile but determined women – Wally Winthrop (Abbie Cornish) and Wallis Simpson – separated for more than six decades. In 1998, lonely New Yorker Winthrop is obsessed with what she perceives as the ultimate love story: King Edward VIII's abdication of the British throne for the woman he loved, American divorcee Wallis Simpson.
