Elizabeth Grant (born June 21, 1986), better known by her stage name Lana Del Rey, is an American singer/songwriter. She has been described as a "self-styled gangsta Nancy Sinatra",[5] and cites Britney Spears,[6] Elvis Presley and Kurt Cobain amongst her musical influences.
In January 2012, Del Rey revealed that she recently bought back the rights to her 2010 album Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant and will re-release it in the Summer of 2012 under Interscope Records and Polydor.[47] On January 4, 2012, it was reported she had signed a deal with NEXT Model Management agency. Maybe I overstated it. I think she's OK. She's like Hope Sandoval Lite, which I guess sort of misses the point of listening to Mazzy Star (and her successor band, forget their name), there should be nothing "Lite" about it.

Kind of reminds me of Angelina Jolie. She was acting since she was a teenager. Nobody really paid attention to her in the beginning. Then boom, sexiest star ever, with everybody talking about her amazing lips.
