Meh, womens leagues aren't popular simply because men do not want to watch a bunch of unattractive girls play a bad game of X..Theres only a small handful of attractive female athletes

How could they??? I was just about to start up our fantasy league.

But seriously, this league failed because they didn't have a large organization willing to take on their losses a la the NBA and the WNBA. Women's sports don't sell. Sorry, it's not being sexist and misogynistic, it's simply being honest.

It's just not wide ranging enough. You only have so many stars that people would come for in minor leagues. In women's team sports, it's even less.

In Rochester NY which won the title, Alex Morgan/Marta/Christine Sinclair drew on average 5-7 thousand people. When hometowner Abby Wambach came, they would easily draw over 10k. No other city can even come close to matching this though.
