Bad friend

Why is it that when my old friends from college have a party, I never want to go. I got this bday party to go to on thursday and quite frankly I don't want to go. Am I being lame for trying to make up an excuse not to go? Would I be a bad friend?

If it was Moe's birthday and you wanted to flake then you'd be a bad friend...so if the friend is not on the same level of friendship as Moe, then you ain't a bad friend if you flake out...holla!

I think you're going through a major transitional period in your life, man. there's no other explanation.
Plus, if your relationships are such that they are based on you attending parties, then these friends of yours will probably fade with time anyway. Your real friends will have your back irregardless, man.
Then again, if it is want peace of mind you desire, then go to the party to simply 'show face,' drop off your gift or card and jet on out, but is this extra step really worth the trouble if your heart is not really in it? That's for you to take up.
Jax's assessment is very true. If this buddy of yours is a real good friend, you will not think twice. You will simply act.
