Poor Rodman & The Madness Behind PETA

Dennis Rodman’s Peta Ad

We all know the people @ PETA are fucking crazy, but unfortunately they also have lots of dough they can throw away in these useless ads that appear to be more shocking than anything else. If I wore leather jackets & mink coats, I would not take let an ad change my consumption patterns---espcially from a guy who used to trance around L.A. wearing only furs. Bastardly born-agains. Don't you hate them?

So, what's really going down with Rodman these days? Well the fact of the matter is quite simple. Dennis is strapped for cash. Was it a real surprise that he was in a Silestone (upscale home furnishings) ad during the Super Bowl? Now he has joined Pam Anderson & other hasbeens in bottomfeeding for income from subpar ads. Actually, does PETA even pay?! I think Rodman just wants to get his face out there again & let corporate America know he's open for biz again.

Oh yeah, who's he sleeping with these days? Whoever it may be, she's (or he's?) probably nowhere close to Carmen Elektra in hotness level.

Dennis Rodman is still high-profile to Middle America, the intended audience of this ad. Celebrities do, in fact, influence the thinking of many folks in this country and PETA is well aware of that.

The ways animals are "processed" while they are still alive would make you puke. Yes, I am pro-animal rights, but I would just like to make the killing of animals as pain-free and humane as possible. I'm not some wacko that will throw red paint on you.

I read your site daily but object to PETA being referred to as "fucking crazy."

"killing of animals as pain-free and humane as possible"

That is a very contradictory statement, but justly made. Killing of any animal is wrong. THere no way you can take life & declare it to be pain-free, humane & most importantly, ethical. That might be the real point...

It's quite simply a LOST cause---especially when money, greed & emotionless corporations are involved.

Let's admit it, humans have been killing & brutally massacring animals for food, clothing, tools, weapons, etc since the beginning of time (literally) and I cannot see this trend changing until the sun explodes and earth is engulfed in fire. (ok I admit, the 'engulfed in fire' statement is a little depressing.)

I agree Jayson.

I'd like no killing at all, but I've resigned myself to a fight that has actually seen some progress: more humane butchering techniques. One step at a time.

Lost causes are the best ones to fight for. My friends and family are more aware of butchering techniques and only purchase (IF they purchase) animal flesh that come from humanely raised and slaughterd sources. Hey, it IS an improvement for animal rights.

You both make great points and anyone who has never taken the time to think about where their meat comes from should open there eyes and see what's going on. It's really sad how some places treat their livestock, it brought tears to my eyes when I saw some of the stuff on PETA website. People should be aware and not waste meat if they choose to eat it.

here's a good example of the people @ PETA being bastards:

those whores sent a letter that had a photoCHOPPED signature of Adam Yauch (beastie boys) to those god-awful, capitalist bitches @ KFC.

I'm in peta and I'm not crazy, that's such a stereotype, in my work for peta I send letters to governments and organisations. Is that crazy?

Ya, ya. I guess it's just that your organization needs to control a lot of its members who are crazy. Admit it, stupid actions of a few easily overshadow the goals of the organization.

The same goes for the people pushing to ban abortion. Showing deathly photos of aborted fetuses isn't going to convince anyone. It's just going to scare the shit out of them.

Fishing is Murder??? I kill and eat fish. I don't raise them in pens and bolt them to the head to kill them. (ok theres a club involved but its a wild caught fish) I could just ignore the streams of america and let people trash them. I don't because I'm an angler. In fact if it weren't for outdoorsmen/hunters/fisherman. Our forests and wetlands would be in way worse shape than they are.
