I'm hoping the downtime during the move will be minimal. If all goes smoothly, shit should *hopefully* be back online the same day of the move. But that is being overly optimistic. I don't see how the DSL can be reconnected the same day that the phone line is connected. We'll see how good my ISP is.

The shitty thing is that I also am going out of town the following morning and don't return for another 5 days or so. Therefore, worst case scenario will be almost a week of downtime :(

The situation may be worse than I anticipated. Apparently, the isp can't transfer the dsl until the new phone line is activated. That occurs on the 29th. They said that it may take 3-5 days before the # shows up in the system. So, it can be that long for the order to be placed. And after the order is placed, it can take upto another 7 or so days for the dsl to be activated.

PITA!

Sorry everybody.. It looks like it may be upto 2 weeks before we have the site back :(

Oh, god, thank god you're back! I almost had to break down and do something productive at work. What were you thinking? No moejackson.com? Crazy! Letting the site go down while moving to another server? Couldn't you have kept up the old site and simply put the new site up all at the same time? Then you could test the new site for bugs and have it all nice and finished and move everyone over after testing was completed but without that nasty downtime! It could have been a seamless transition (and then I wouldn't have had to find other websites to satisfy my snark cravings or break down and do some work!)

YEAH...Bastardly is back! My day will be filled with joy rather then the agony of doing actual work.
