Believe it or not I sympathize with her. If you were that incredibly hot and even though you rarely dressed provacotivly or showed off your goodies in a slutty or demeaning way you're still only considered a piece of meat to movie goers... I can see how that'd be frustrating. She'll still always be beautiful, she'd just like to try to be beautiful and meaningful at the same time.

I think she's very pretty as many other people are very pretty and if she chooses not to get naked on camera we can watch her fan base slowly fade away. However, she's pretty enough to "fall in love" with some producer type and never work again. Or she can head the Anna Nicole route.

Here's what I see (like anyone cares but I'll say it anyway):

Alba is a very pretty girl: she has a lovely figure, perky tits, round ass, delicate neck/arms/hands, etc. Her face has full lips, large, very dark eyes (I love how dark they are), and that great smooth creamy brown latina skin that is so popular (also a personal fav). Her hair is cut very well and expensively, with pricey highlights and she has assistants attend to every aspect to her appearance. She has the body type, hair, features and coloring which embody the highest standard of beauty today. There are some physical flaws such as a jutting squarish chin and facial shape that is out of sync with the rest of her facial features. Also, her eyes have a strange droop that keeps them from being nearly as arresting as they could be. But all-in-all, she is lovely and fits what most of the population wants as a sex symbol.

These are her problems that people don't see: she is incredibly insecure. She has VERY few female friends and they are always less attractive than her, because she can't handle being around beautiful women - she is afraid to be directly compared to them in person. If a beautiful girl makes it on set with her, Alba throws a fit until the girl is quickly ushered off. There are of course events at which she cannot help be seen near or next to other beautiful women, and for these she spend HOURS (and very tense ones, sometimes peppered with screaming fits) with her people making sure that she is as utterly stunning as possible. Then, when she is out of public view after the engagement, she needs to be assured and reassured that she was the most beautiful woman there.

Another problem: Alba treats people whom she deems beneath her like scum. Most she will not even directly speak to (she has one of her asistants do it) unless it is to visciously berate them.

I'm not going to ellaborate on the fallacy of her virginal image except to say that it is bullshit, but she does it very, very well. More men KNOW her then is commonly thought. There are two reasons people don't really know about this, the first being a sound career choice and the next being something I believe to be deeper: 1) It would be a very bad career move, to say the least, for the public to find out that she is accessible (the pedestalic place she holds serves her well with her fan base (men), and 2) This, I don't know for sure - but I and my friends in the industry who have worked with her directly believe this to be the reason so take it or leave it - she apparently had some painful self-esteem issues as a child, and needs to not only feel male desire from afar, but be physically beset by it. She needs to know that she is utterly desirable by men in every way which includes not only fan worship, but sex with different people.

The bottom line is that she must be living with some serious pain from childhood for which she is still compensating in a few different ways - which is very sad. My heart goes out to her, but the way she treats people is inexcusable.
