Emmy Rossum Career Sinking W/ Poseidon's Box Office Hopes
Sunday, May 14th, 2006 late in the damn evening, after tantric sex by Moe

She's lucky she has a nice rack & she's also lucky that rich & powerful producers, directors & heterosexual actors like nice racks on really young chicks. Life's a bitch, but what can you do, right? Right.
Considering how Emmy Rossum turns 20 later this September, I think she has little to worry about. Then again, Poseidon took around $160mil to make & only managed to rake in a measly $20mil right out of the gates. What's even worse it that its $20mil showing still put it in 2nd place behind Tommie's MI:2 this past weekend.
Emmy, no worries, we got your back (we wish...). If you fail at another couple films costing $150mil+, you'll always have Hef waiting for you on the sidelines. The Horndogg Community will cough up the $5-7 bucks for the issue even though most slimy members of the Horndogg Community can very well Google their way to free snaps of any layout from any back issue within the last 10 years. Sad, but true.
If you thought that was enough bad news, think again.
Both "Poseidon" and "Mission: Impossible" will have to contend with new competition next weekend with Sony Corp.'s release of "The Da Vinci Code," based on the best-selling thriller by Dan Brown and starring Tom Hanks. Moviegoer interest in "Da Vinci" appears to be huge, and a robust opening could effectively squelch the chances of "Poseidon" and "Mission: Impossible III" having strong first months at the box office. Here are a few more stills from the flick.

I cannot stand this "Shannen Doherty: The Next Generation" bitch.

Her rack isnt nice and I watched mystic lake that movie kinda pissed me off and it was a relief when she got killed off I didn't have to see her ugly ass anymore.

nora, it's actually Mystic River, and that was a damn good movie, you just have to pay attention...........
The Day After Tomorrow really sucked ass
and I am sure Poseidon will too
HOWEVER, she received an award for break-through actress for her portrayal of Christine Daae in Joel Schumacher's take on Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera, but I bet 99.9% of the people here haven't seen it or even know what Phantom of the Opera is about. She sang all the songs, no voice overs, and she did a fantastic job portraying the character.

I saw her in that .... shes hot and an awesome singer but the phantom started grating on my nerves at the end....

lol, I can see that, but you have to give Gerhard Butler props for having such a dominating presence. :)

she looks like britany murphy
but you know...
with out rickets

Rickets is a sad sad thing, and nothing to be made fun of........ unless, of course, you are a famous celeb who has the unfortunate resemblance of a person who has rickets, then you can tear all you want. On that note, doesn't B. Murphy also sound like she could have Tourette's?? You know, she is sitting in a interview, and suddenly she yells "Balls! Ass!" and then giggles uncontrollably for a second, straighten's up, and says "Sorry, that usually doesn't happen. Butt fuck!". lol

Remember the chick from duece bigalo who had torrets?? lol
But thats also a terrible disease

Yes i admit mystic river was good but didn't Sean Penn end up killing the guy who did not even kill his daughter and got away with it I hate to say it but that pissed me off.

hmm ok to to mention the obvious. sure i always do..
don't know if this film not doing mega in the states is going to hurt her career.she wasn't expected to 'carry' the film....but yeah everyone views mi:3 as a 'tom cruise' film...

lilyspryte,ok ok, i have no interest in seing either 'phantom' or 'poseidon'. but i'll trust you that she's talented !! :) and yeah talent is soooo much better than just being hot. or however i should phrase it. :)

nora, it's funny that the way the movie ended pissed you off. Sean Penn might be a good actor, but his views on politics are as far off as someone calling an elephant a mouse. He has no clue what he is talking about. Anyway, back to the subject, I think the movie simply ended on a open note, as many movies nowadays do.

lillyspryte and nora:
i have not seen the movie, but i was under the impression that his mistake was kind of the point of the whole movie.
The "tragedy" if you want to look at it in those terms
like i said i did not see it
so feel free to tell me i'm full of shit
Reply to this Comment
john, that's the point of the movie, the tragedy at the beginning is only followed by a tragedy in the end..... which is why the movie ends with an open feel to it. you should check it out sometime, but only on a night when you have no distractions and a bit of patience.

Rickets, Tourette's! I'm still laughing at the image of the Brittney Murphy interview!

maybe she should just stick with opera... ya know... stage? i dunno, she's a good singer, but her acting isnt so hot.

I cannot stand this simpering Park Avenue Princess! Is she still dating David Wildenstein of the Art Galleries? Is she still BFF with Ralph Lauren who dresses her for the red carpet as a 40 yr. old woman? Her wide-eyed, I'm SO cute posing and her self-involvement are a complete BORE!

I can't stand her either, moonbeams. She's got the looks and the voice, but her attitude rubs me the wrong way. Apparently she's a hellion on set. I just don't like when an actress whose career is nonexistant or just beginning acts like she's old hat and worldly and deserves it all.

moonbeams and arlena:
thank you for the conformation of my feeling on this chick
that was exactly how i felt after watching that clip of her on the leno show
i posted it on that thread i guess

I didnt like her even in Phantom. In fact she ruined the whole movie with her okay but not really good singing and her totaly pathetic "mono-emotion fish-eyed-gaping mouth" acting. I was very disapointed especialy because I thought they would surely pick a great singer/actress for the part. Instead we got an irratatingly nasel sounding voice and a "eternaly in a stupor" actoress.

I think she's a really great singer and actress. Her best movie was Passionada.

I think she is gorgeous! This post is kinda pervy, but eh.
