I think they are feeling too much pressure because there is so much on the line. Hopefully we'll get at least one goal. I was so pissed when that one shot went bounced off.
Wiseman stop making this into a cultural brawl. Might I mention that England's win the other day was due to a own goal? The brits didn't score once. (BTW: I like England)

The played pretty well, but just couldn't get any real scoring chances. One thing though, they certainely don't deserve this 3-0 result.

I think the Usa can beat both Italy and Ghana, they just miss a little creativity and some more confidence.

Lana Lang....The USA dont have a chance in hell. I hope they beat Italy, but I have to say the Czech Republic didnt perform as well as they should have. The score should have been at least 6-0, probably 8-0.

Yeah I know...it would be an awesome surprise if we did really well. I just think we might do better in general if the American fan base was more galvanized behind the team. That would give them a little more confidence.

I'm not so sure Lana. England has an amazing fan base, but they still played like shit against Paraguay.

Czech Republic 3 - 0 USA

It seems that there is a fair chance that USA may become the whipping-boys of their group, the other teams being Italy (not much pace in the team, but lots of quality) and Ghana (who hold one of the strongest midfields in African football. Look out for Michael Essien, for whom Chelsea paid £20-odd millions. His nickname? The Bison.)

Today, USA were weak, unimaginative and lacking quality. The Czechs, with Nedved and Rosicky (the former one of my favourite players and the latter one who looks set to become a favourite in the years to come) out-classed them in every department of the game. The Yanks will struggle to unlock Italy's defence, and the Ghanaians midfield should over-power them.

In conclusion, USA will have to find someone who can create space and run at defenders in the last third of the pitch, if they want to make an impact in this World Cup. I cant predict anything other than USA going out in the first round.

I think USA will do well in future tournaments (namely when Freddie Adu matures, and comes to play in Europe), but not this one.

I hope the Czechs and Italians go through from this group.

the only thing is italy has 3 of it's best players injured and theyve been injured for a while... thats the only plus on the u.s.a's part... italy has 3 injured best players

Wiseman, you can be assured that if the World Cup was adequately advertised/hyped here in the States, all the resulting momentum behind the US team would translate into a powerful display of massive scorage.

Unfortunately for us Americans, the games are comprised of two uninterrupted halves of 45 mins (no ads) - a good thing if you're watching tv - but which makes them un-commercial friendly and therefore relatively unhyped (damn it!) Of course we can watch the games on ESPN, but we aren't getting much info from regular media outlets.

too bad... im not even american and i feel bad for them because this year they were doing well so far... czech is playing really well... oh well... theyre in a tough group thats for sure... ghana is the best african team pretty much... czech is awesome... and italy has the second most world cup titles ever... italy's an amaazing team ... so the usa got a really really hard group
