- the outcome of a game shouldn't be decided on free kicks/ penalties, fifa should bring back the golden goal rule that worked so well in the euro 2000 final game (against Italy ;), rewards attack not a defensive team waiting for penalties, and adds a lot to the overall drama. And for the few of you thinking about it, no Zidane won't come back to add more drama.

I got some ideas to improve the game that would make watching tolerable:

1. Less players on the field - there are too many mutherfuckers running around. Nobody can get open enough to score or even shoot. Its back and forth the whole fucking game. Ax 2-3 players from each team and there might be more scoring.

2. Lose the offsides rule. What the fuck, the offensive team gets penalized for losing his defender and getting ahead of the pack? Smells like some bullshit to me. The defense should be playing man-to-man and if the offensive player gets ahead of his defender he should be rewarded. This would also make for higher scoring games.

3. In the shootout, move the ball back 10 more feet. its too fucking close. The goalie doesn't have a chance. Or better yet, dont ever go to a shootout, play more overtime till the fucking players decide the game. make it first goal wins.

4. Soccer players need to stop being such big pussies. At least 3 times during that game they brought a stretcher out when the dude just layed there for 10 minutes crying. They should instead bring out a box of tampons and slap him in the face with it.

5. Play every year. this isnt the fucking olympics. Americans would be able to follow it better if it was played more often. Plus it's played at a good time where not much else in sports is happening and people would be likely to watch.
