I mean if Matthew is your number one who is your two and three, and if he is your number three, who is two and four.

In the never ending pursuit to find out what women want I was trying to get an idea of where this man ranks by comparison to others. Is it his overall looks, his eyes, his body, his voice, his acting ability, etc?

Cute, Caliban. It's all of those attributes that matter. I don't know about other women, but I generally don't rank my favorites. I guess because my favorites have it all: Christian Bale, Eric Bana, Jude Law....They're all different in very good ways, so really no need for ranking.

The hottest thing about Matthew McConnaughey is that he doesn't even try and he's sexy plus he's very funny.

He does nothing for me. Not ugly, but his naked bongo playing antics are a turn off. I'm just not into blondies. Christian Bale, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Keanu Reeves rock my world.

Ranking might be an overstatement but we are at the Bastardly and I was just hoping for clarification on why some women find this guy really hot, say hotter than some find Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp and why. Everyone is different but you might get a feel for more women liking the pretty boy type of the rough biker type, or vice versa, etc.

Eric Bana is a fantastic actor, his portrayal of Hector in Troy blew away every other performance in that movie, although Peter O'Tool did a good job as King.

I've never found him that hot. I dont like blondes, and he always seems a little out of it. kind of a himbo.

He's very hot. He usually looks scraggly and still manages to pull it off, but when he's cleaned up he is startlingly and classically handsome.

I was asking questions about what women want since this would be a good topic. men are not usually posted so I thought for sure women would come in and take a look.

how about if I just asked which type you might prefer giving only two examples. If you had to choose would it be....

A. the clean cut, groomed sweater/buttoned down shirt type

or

B. the scruffy looking bad boy on a motorcycle type

Taking for granted of course that this is the same hot looking, muscled stud in your mind, but in different modes so don't go thinking the scruffy looking guy is dirty, same guy different styles.

I like the clean-cut type. Short hair, clean shaven so you can really see the bone structure and face. I don't generally like actors, though James Franco is extremely good-looking. Presentably dressed is good, button-down shirt and all, but jeans and a t-shirt or polo shirt is fine. Personally I don't like guys who are too hip or try too hard to look like they're not trying, with artificially ripped jeans, trendy logos and so on. Anything that says "rebellious & confused"...no.

First of all: LOVE the captions!!!
Second of all: are you sure it's not so much "short" arms as it's LOW ASS so arms LOOK SHORT? And it's not stubby arms as much as stubby legs? Those who know me on BASTARDLY know that I'm tall and I can't stand LOW ASS. That is, when I'm with a guy who's ass is lower than mine -- because of stubby legs. So that when we're walking side-by-side, I can't reach down and tweak his buns...unless I LEAN WAY LOW like I'm doing the "limbo rock" in a Calypso movie.
Third of all: WHY do we dig him? His ROLES! He's made some GREAT choices -- starting with "Dazed..." and absolutely swooned with "Contact..." I've loved his ROLES, so I love himi MORE.

I don't know why he likes Tbaggin so much, I never cared for it, not much real satisfaction, at least not to me.

He was fantastic in Amistad, probably his best, but it being a well written and superbly executed movie probably helped.
