Prior to her role on One Tree Hill, Burton worked as a VJ for the television show Total Request Live on MTV. She was supposed to be a guest commentator for one segment, but producers decided to offer her a permanent job. Burton appeared on the television series Dawson's Creek, and was cast as Peyton Sawyer, a high school cheerleader with an artistic side, on One Tree Hill, which debuted in 2003. She also unsuccessfully auditioned for the role of the coach's daughter in Radio.

she is really pretty, though she normally has curly hair which i am not a fan of. sophia bush gets all the attention on one tree hill but i think hilarie is really pretty too. how come we don't see much of her?

Hilarie is pretty, and I like the outfit. However, her hair is naturally straight, not curly. The show had to spend hours curling her hair like that- Hilarie has said it herself more than once.

Love This Girl! Hate the dress. And I didnt know that she was married. Good for her.
But I think that she has the best chemistry with Chad Michael Murray better than Sophia, (His Ex- wife). I just think Hilarie's the better actress and Sophia but Hilarie are really Beautiful women. Go P. Sawyer!!!!

I agree with #30. She has a great chemistry with Chad, better than Sophia. And I agree she is the better actress between the two of 'em. Sophia is really beautiful and sexy, but Hilarie has a very particular beauty, she's just lovely to watch and is very expressive. Love her!
