Alicia IS black. Alicia saying she's black isn't the same thing as her saying she is, as one of you put it, "all black". I'm technically EurAsian, but I identify more with my Asian side because that is the culture I was raised in. When I say that I'm Asian that doesn't mean I'm not anything else, but it IS the culture I identify with. I was born in Asia and raised in an immigrant Asian home in an immigrant Asian neighborhood. Now sometimes I publicly identify myself as EurAsian-specifically Italian and Thai- even though I also have Laoian, French and Chinese ancestry. What? because I don't tell every person I meet all the particulars that means that I'm ashamed or lying about my heritage? Of course not. It's just not as big a deal as some of you make it out to be. And you know, at the end of the day, what someones ethnic background is is really none of our business. I'm sure none of you would want someone to speak for you.
