It seems that because of the way she came into the public eye initially, through playboy and all that, most don't give her any credit for her excellent comedic talent. If she got a legitimate comedy vehicle to do her thing, like a sustainable non-stupid sitcom, or some sort of comedy movie that doesn't focus on her looks at all, she'd do great.
