i dont know why or what it is but i dont find her remotely attractive... she doesnt do a thing for me and i think shes the most overrated person ever

john, i was going to post the same thing. i thought i was the only one. she's got a great rack, and i'd obviously hit that, but as far as celebs go, i just don't get the hype. overall, she's very average.

Eh....I just saw this movie called Match Point that she was in. I must say, she's really cute on film and she is a good actress. In pictures I didn't quite "get it" either, although she is definitely photogenic. I really think it's more of a talent thing.

I don't know. I think sometimes we find fault with celebrities just to be funny or something. My criteria is that if this was just a regular girl walking down the street would I holla at her? And I would. I find it hard to believe that most of us wouldn't.

These are the reasons the public loves her:
a. she has an hourglass shape. vogue would like to call it "curvy" but "curvy" to them is anyone who doesn't look like Jessica Miller, the skeletor from the previous post. I subscribe. They like using the term "fleshy" as well as "curvy" to describe people who are not skeletors, i.e. Linda Evangelista, many socialites who range from size 2 to 8 and pretty much all 90s models, Kate Moss withstanding.
b) more on her shape. NEWSFLASH: all straight men and some gay men are excited by hourglass shaped women.
c) she's not paris hilton, lindsay lohan, etc. she knows how to behave and for a 21 yr old actress these days, that's very rare
d) she's not quite as vapid as other actresses.
e) she doesn't censor herself at all so there's generally something in all her interviews to raise eyebrows.

I agree with TOM and DARIA (AGAIN)....I mean...we have these expectations of what we think a "celebrity" is supposed to look like...Everyone says "she's just an average girl"...Exactly...no one said celebrities were superhuman. Seriously, you guys know that you would holla at her. If I was a guy, or a lesbian, I would! The reasons why she generates so much attention, is that she is one of the only woman in hollywood whom has a body that looks close to what the average American looks like. You don't have to think she's gorgeous, or hot or whatever...but you gotta agree, that is something to rave about...I mean...when is the last time you've heard an actress say "I'm not a size 2 and i'm okay with it", Hardly ever. I respect her for that, and that alone.

say what you will, bastards! i think she's gorgeous... scarlett seems to have her head on straight and has a lot of edginess about her. plus, she's all of 21 and has avoided so many bad teen movies which i'm sure would've earned her more $$$ and exposure, in favor of woody allen flicks and period pieces. not feeling her lipstick on the cover, though.

Wow, Scarlett is getting some serious flack here. I absolutely adore her, and I apparently must explain why, to all of these detractors. She is just so curvy! She looks how a sexy woman should look. Most Hollywood starlets are too skinny, without hips or enough boobs, but Scarlett has ample amounts of hips and boobs. And her face is so delicately structured, and her lips are amazing, and her slightly slanted eyes are tantalizing. Basically, she's a gorgeous, curvy, classic yet modern blonde bombshell. I'm not sure how people are missing all of this, unless they're just too focused on the overly skinny, not-curvy-enough starlets.

I suppose there's no accounting for taste. However, I fancy her and would enjoy doing things with her that would be illegal in nearly every Southern state.

Mr. Chubby wishes to dissent by saying SJ is a classic blonde bombshell and one of the most talented actors for her age group in Hollywood. She reminds us of a young Jessica Lange. We look forward to seeing her in pictures for years to come.
