Hunter Tylo (born Deborah Hunter on July 3, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American actress of half Cherokee descent.
With a love for animals, Hunter began studies at Fordham University in pre-med in the hopes of a career in veterinary medicine. Making many commercials in New York to pay tuition, Hunter transitioned to a career in the entertainment industry. Taking a leave from school, she began her career in acting.
