yea hazel is generally golden brown but hazel is also used to describe eyes that are a mixture of many different colors.

Like I said, I actually find her eyes more on the green side than on the blue side... but then there's the hints of brown and sometimes they actually do look slightly more bluish.

- the kid is part white and part black
- they are light skinned black
- their eyes are not bright blue, either "blue-grey" or "blue green"

Perhaps the pigment in her eyes adjusts itself according to lighting? Whens he's outdoors, her eyes are a bright blue/green. In darker lighting, they look more green. I didn't say "white skin" I said "light skin" there is a difference.
Certain genes only appear on certain chormesomes. This is why green and blues are so common among caucasians and some black people and not latinos and asians.
Almost anything is possible but latinos, asians and africans rarely have blue or green eyes but it can happen.

that does not mean only whites have blue or green eyes.
a person can be 1/4 or 1/8 caucasian and still have light eyes.
