By far, Rihanna was the hottest one on the red carpet, but when it came to scoring awards, Adele seriously cleaned up with a total of six Grammys. We're not sure whether Whitney Houston's sudden passing played a role or not, but red carpet was fairly subdued last night. Besides maybe the machine gun girl & Nicki Minaj, there weren't any huge surprises. For those of you missed previous sets, hit the 2012 Grammys category for more juice!

First of all, here's the earlier post featuring red carpet action from the 18th Screen Actors Guild Awards.

From a red carpet fashion standpoint, I'm giving last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards the upper hand over the Golden Globes from earlier this month. It definitely appears as if the ladies are slowly busting out better dresses as the award season rolls on, so this sets the stage very nicely for the upcoming Oscars. Success & failure on the red carpet comes down to taking very calculated risks without coming off as an attention whore, so there's a very healthy balance. Everything from hairstyle to jewelry to how much leg & boob you're willing to show can make or break the look.

The leading photo features Emilia Clarke, Shailene Woodley, Sofia Vergara & the great Viola Davis, who scored the coveted Best Actress award last night. With a face like Emilia's, she could be wearing a trash bag & she'd still manage to pull it off successfully. For those of you who don't know the 24-year old actress currently stars in HBO's medieval-fantasy series "Game of Thrones." Next up is "The Descendants" newbie Shailene Woodley, who rocked some sort of fitted Aloha dress (Golden Globes was better). Normally anything Aloha-themed is puke-worthy, but when you're blessed with natural sex appeal, lookout! And finally, both Viola Davis & Sofia Vergara are styled perfectly.

Loving all these ladies, but it's great to see Natalie Portman back in action! Renee Bargh, who's currently weekend co-host on "Extra," is absolutely killin' it! She's learning very well from Maria Menounos.

Ashlee Simpson definitely looked great last night, but I'm pretty sure she got a ton of work done b/c she looks like nothing like she did 2/3 years ago. If Ash was someone more important & less annoying, I'd do more research. The delicious lady in blue is Jessica Chastain, who recently scored her very first Academy Award nomination for "The Help." Don't know about you bastards, but I'm really digging everything about Jessica. Michelle Williams is always cute & Judy Greer can definitely do better.

For the record, this is just ONE of the sexiest dresses, so hopefully that disclaimer will appease some of you Lea Michele haters. Then again, how can you read a site like this and not think the "Glee" star consistently hits the red carpet dressed to impress. Last night was definitely no exception with Lea Michele doing her best to show off her exposed leg as she looked beautiful in her sexy Versace dress. All young actresses should take a queue from Lea and turn up their respective red carpet hotness levels. Chop-chop!

Now, we love Zoe Saldana just as much as anybody else, but I feel like she suffers from "I Have Too Much Money" syndrome on the red carpet. Obviously, this disease plagues countless women---regardless of their level of fame---and it stems from the belief that dropping tons of cash will automatically make you look beautiful. That couldn't be further from the truth.

I understand Zoe probably paid thousands for this dress, but sadly, she could be wearing a white bathrobe for all we care. This look simply does nothing for her in terms of showcasing her ultra-thin figure and beautiful face. Granted, it's very difficult to showcase something when you don't really have anything (i.e. rack, booty, etc), so she needs to throw some of that "Avatar" money at the problem and let professionals think outside the box on her behalf. Let's hope she can turn things around by the Oscars...

With all the red carpet events held over the past couple months, you'd think Rooney Mara & Paula Patton would bring their A-Game to the Golden Globes red carpet, but obviously that's not the case.

Since everyone & their grandma walked down the red carpet at last night's Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, we figured it would be best to categorize the photos in batches.

First up are the safe & boring women on the red carpet. These are women who are either too afraid to take fashionable risks, don't give a shit about what they look like in front of millions, too cheap to hire a stylist who can think outside the box on their behalf or simply have bad taste. Whatever the case, these were the "blah" outfits that simply got overlooked because they had nothing special to offer---not ugly, but not great either. The Oscars are right around the corner, so let's hope these ladies can turn their shit around in the coming weeks. Chop-Chop!
