In the group, however there is an even slimmer percentage that have "charisma". Regardless of whether or not Aubrey is GREAT, she has this component that makes her stand out from the rest. That is why she was chosen for the photo shoot. It is also proven by the fact that she provokes all of this controversy, even the negative comments go to show that she strikes a chord with people. So thanks to everyone for acknowledging her.

It really doesn't matter the band won't make it. Aubrey and Aundrea are the only reason I even watch the show. Puff is dunzo and he's grasping at straws to stay a float. As for Aubrey and Aundrea if they really want to make it they will! So perhaps the show was good for that purpose, exposure! They have a built in fan base.

Both those performances before the backstreet boys were lame. You know why ? Because puffy and his team just don't know how to make hits. Those songs were soooo lame.

I think Aubrey is one of the more talented girls on the show this season, and I have mad respect for her. She stood up for herself to that gross fatty Jason, and she has the drive and determination to make the band. Also, the fact that she has her own organization to fight for aids is awesome! She's not anorexic either...come on people, as much dancing and working out as those girls do, they all looked thinner by the end of the season. And if they were'nt eating, then they wouldnt have any energy to do all that dancing in the first place...anyways, back to Aubrey...she also never talked trash or had an attitude problem which is very respectable considering most of the other reality shows out there. Also, I have read several posts and it seems that some of you are putting Aubrey O'Day in a category of a soulful voice. She did set it off on the last season when they were at that club and Diddy had them go on stage and sing. But since then I haven't really heard much of her on Making The Band 3. However, I could never put her in the same category of what I consider a "black voice" such as Whitney or Mary J. Blige. She does have a voice, but I wouldn't call it a "black voice." She is a good dance, however, in my opinion Dawn dances better than all of them. Dawn is always consistent and appears to have her steps together. Aubrey has the look and is appealing to the cameras because she portrays that honest, direct, cute girl who knows how to be direct and forward and not two-faced. The did an excellent job in picking the girls for this show, but we know they all can't make it.

So anyways, I must express my love for the great miss Aubrey. She is easily among the hottest performers in the country. Very talented singer and dancer alike, and a heart of gold to boot. Her undying friendship with the beautiful Aundrea throughout the entire 2 seasons is what's so great about her. There's a certain quality there that can never be taken away and I think it's awsome. And now they get to be in the band and live their dreams together. The 1st and last time I spoke with Aubrey I knew right away that she was going places. She told me how grateful she was to be a part of making the band. And I believed her cuz I could see it in her eyes. She's an appreciative person unlike a few of the girls who were there for the money or the fame.
I wish I hadn't passed up my opurtunity to choreograph with Lorrie. I would have loved to be a part of Aubrey's success and get to know her better as well as Aundrea.

wow!!! i've never seen a "message board" b4 an i must say the only reason i stumbled on it was cause i was lookin 4 the pics that aubrey took 4 Blender magazine to see what they looked like. i love the show an i think that this season had a lot of girls that were good. Drea and Aubrey have been my favorites since last season and i am so happy that they made it. i can't believe that shannon bitch made it though cause she sucks. i think it should've been: Drea, Aubrey, Wanita (that's how she REALLY spells it), Taquita (again, that's how it's spelled) and either Jasmine or Dawn. i don't think Jasmine could sing in harmony (which wouldn't really work in a group setting) and Dawn isn't that pretty but she can sing and dance and Jasmine has a cute little figure so 4 me it was a toss up.

i totally agree. aubrey and aundrea were the best choices. i was really surprised that they chose shannon and wanita. i seriously thought taquita was gonna make it. dawn was another surprise as well, but she was always one of the "dark horses" who was consistent and could surprise u. all in all i'm really in shock. besides aubrey and aundrea, the choice for the rest of the group almost made me shit my pants.

It is in the nature of many groups to segregate, overcompensate, and lie to themselves about who started what and try to keep it separate and claim all the credit. We do this for many reasons which I won't try to name. Hip-hop as it is today would not be if not for white people's influence, slavery and liberation of blacks, language, and invention and mastery of instruments much earlier in European countries. White culture as it is today would not be if not for black people; except for maybe classical, bluegrass, and country which were here in America before blacks were. But early Americans' ancestors ran into other ethnicities in other countries many centuries earlier so that's not really fair to separate either.

I use the terms "white" and "black" very loosely because those terms just don't make any sense when you really think about them. We're all a mixture of many different ethnicities over a long period of time. Some that we're even unaware of. No one is fully white or black. No one. All this talk of some trend, style, culture being only white or only black is incredible! Things improve the more we mix. It's all a collaboration no matter how you look at it. We can't even begin to accurately separate our identities and claim something as this or that, because we'd start back over at zero without ever having eachother's influence. We're all one and an integral part of eachother's development.

It is so ignorant to say that when a "white" girl can sing or dance, that she has black in her, that it's black-like. No, she can sing and dance because she can sing and dance. She is a human capable of singing and dancing the way she does. Black people are the ones normally saying this, and I will admit it is overcompensating for racial insecurities, needing to claim something as their own to feel as good as the white people sell themselves to be. White people have been able to dance and sing for a long time. White people have had some well-endowed, large features for a long time. They've just recently become comfortable eating, pulling off their girdles, and showing them off.

It is so ignorant to say that when black people wear a weave that they are trying to be white. No, those people may just prefer the look of straight hair and the easier maintenance. After all, it was sold as the epitome of beauty for the longest time. It takes decades and decades to move beyond stuff like that. But it's happening. When a black person has an education and can speak properly, it doesn't mean they are acting white. They are just maximizing their own God given potential just like anyone else can of any color.

I have to admit the word white is a little offensive because I am considered white but I have just as much color as anyone else. Just as much flavor, just as much soul, just as much fullness, just as much culture. I don't think we're progressing until all groups can respect eachother and acknowledge eachother as a crucial part of themselves. Not just whites legally having to respect blacks but it should work both ways because we want to respect and love eachother and evolve for the sake of our children.
