Valentino has been in business for 50 years and to celebrate they launched a new flagship store on Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills last night with a huge party attended by a lot of ladies. A lot of the attendees apparently were sporting the Valentino clutch; ladies will know what I'm talking about. Also, the event gave a preview of the 50th anniversary Valentino capsule collection, which features 50 ready-to-wear pieces inspired by Valentino Garavani’s animal prints from the sixties. Basically it's a love triangle where the two dudes are CIA agents both dating Reese Witherspoon's character, Lauren Scott. Rachel was presented a Visionary Award by Anne Hathaway while a silent auction raised money for homeless youth. All in all, an event for celebrities to come out and show (or act) like they care while getting some photos of themselves taken on the red carpet.

The ladies enjoyed delicious food & drinks at the celeb-hotspot Cecconi's in West Hollywood courtesy of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) & InStyle magazine. "A Night Of Firsts" was a star-studded party used to kick off the upcoming award season & announce the beautiful new Miss Golden Globe, Rainey Qualley (actress Andie MacDowell's daughter).
Chosen by the HFPA, Miss Golden Globe is traditionally the child of a well-known celebrity and assists during the Golden Globe Awards ceremony (and hooks up with sugar daddy actors, producers or directors following the event). The 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air LIVE coast-to-coast on Sunday, January 15, 2012 on NBC from 5:00-8:00 p.m. (PST)/8:00-11:00 p.m. (EST) from the Beverly Hilton Hotel with host Ricky Gervais.

Since the benefit was generously hosted by celebrity jeweler David Yurman, the event also was an opportunity for those in attendance to throw back a few luxurious cocktails & view Yurman's fall 2011 jewelry collection, eyewear, blinged-out time pieces and fragrances.
