Harmon, Peters join Connick in Lifetime's "Proof"

"Living Proof," the Lifetime movie about the development of the breast cancer drug Herceptin, has assembled a cast that includes Angie Harmon, Amanda Bynes, Bernadette Peters and Swoosie Kurtz.

Also joining Harry Connick Jr. in the movie are Regina King, Jennifer Coolidge, Trudie Styler, Tammy Blanchard, John Benjamin Hickey and Paula Cale.

"Proof" is based on Robert Bazell's book and centers on Dennis Slamon (Connick), the UCLA doctor who developed Herceptin. The movie is set to air in October. [Reuters]

Angie Harmon Joins Rape Campaign

Harmon insists her decision to join the movement to help eradicate sexually-motivated attacks as she fears for the safety of her two young daughters with husband Jason Sehorn, Finley, four, and Avery, two.

She says, "The act of rape is barbaric. That it's still going on is appalling. It's still so prevalent, and I have two daughters. To have the center go nationwide would be my ultimate dream. Awareness is part of the battle." Source

Angie, 35, and Jason, a former New York Giants cornerback, are parents to Finley, 4, and Avery, 2.
