Chris Brown, his mommy & lawyer were all on Larry King doing damage control more than half a year after the beat-down. They were all pretty much making excuses for his actions. This dude needs to take a hint & just disappear for five years and then make a comeback as a "changed" person.

So, what's the official strategy behind this move? Prosecutors are saying Rihanna's prepared to testify against Chris Brown, but they're also saying that both parties are doing their best to resolve the case outside of court. What the fuck, right?

This case has officially reached the point of absurdity that no one really gives a shit about what happens to Chris Brown or Rihanna anymore. The only resolution from the public's standpoint is for Rihanna to go on Oprah and publicly state that she hates Chris & every other bastard who beats on women.

Anyway, it's really sad, but it appears as if Chris Brown will get the pass this time around. I guess society will prosecute when he eventually pulls an OJ Simpson on some poor chick. For Rihanna's sake, let's just hope it's not her...

The 2 felonies that Chris Brown was charged with are assault and making criminal threats. The charges carry a sentence ranging from probation to 5 years in prison. Hmm.. I'm going to bet that Chris Brown will get a slap on the wrist, probation, community service, anger management, couples counseling, and film a commercial... hell, let's throw in a Peta ad while we're at it too.

In other words, he's not going to get any jail time. I'm sure his new secret wife, Rihanna, would be happy to know that her new secret husband isn't going to get locked up.

Btw, today, February 20th, 2009, is Rihanna's 21st birthday.

So the folks at TMZ have obtained the photo above showing Rihanna after the beating at the hands of Chris Brown following the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party. Reports indicate that the photo "has the appearance of one taken during an official domestic violence investigation." This leak has sparked an internal investigation by the LAPD. Source

A person familiar with the situation, who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter and requested anonymity, confirmed that the woman was Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty.

The person said some of the injuries shown in the photo — specifically the marks on the woman's forehead — were consistent with the injuries Rihanna sustained. Source

Here's a statement from the LAPD regarding the situation:

"The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence," it read. "The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint. A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination." Source

Chris Brown's apology over the weekend sounded more like a plea to his fans to continue listening to his music than a heartfelt apology directed to Rihanna & family.

As expected, Rihanna is not pleased. One of Rhi's Bastardly friends told the Chicago Sun-Times that Rihanna is "appalled" at the statement released by Chris Brown.

''All of us, including Rihanna, don't understand how he can say he's sorry on the one hand, but still ... does not admit any guilt,'' said the source, adding, "He should have expressed more contrition."

In Los Angeles, a close Rihanna associate -- in daily contact with her -- told this column Monday the entertainer is ''royally pissed off" by what Rihanna calls Brown's ''cavalier and arrogant statement.'' [Source]

It appears as if this drama's gonna get real dirty once both parties come in front of the cameras. I have a feeling Rihanna will divulge her end of the story on Oprah.

Snapped back in early January as they returned to their hotel in London after doing a concert. Believe it or not, but this was around the same time they were rumored to be engaged. Wonder why Rihanna's hiding every inch of her face?!

As for Chris Brown, the odds of anyone believing his side of the story are stacked high against him. When shit like this hits the fan, the dude always gets stereotyped and ultimately screwed in the media. There's never any vindication for guys who beat up chicks, that's all. Seeing how he's so damn young, we think it's in Chris Brown's best interests to continue releasing well-written statements by his PR people until people forgive & forget.

As most of you following this already know, Chris Brown finally grew the balls to respond to the ocean of allegations flying around. But unfortunately, it might be too little, too late. A source close to Jay-Z already blurted out to the media that the hip-hop king is pissed beyond belief at what occurred following a pre-Grammy party. The source told Us Weekly last week, "He hit the roof. Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew." Jay-Z has every right to be pissed b/c after all, he's the one who discovered Rihanna back in '05 and at the end of the day, all this drama is costing him money.

Anyway, before we further fan the flames of Chris Brown's burning career, let's read the statement released by his publicist Michael Sitrick over the weekend:

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person.

"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."

Hmm, wonder who wrote that statement...

Sometimes in life, timing is everything. If you wanna reject everything that's being said about you in the media, why you gotta take an entire week to respond?! Since I know you bastards are great at breaking shit down, we'll let you guys chime in...

So, what would you do to your girlfriend if she took the keys to your rented Lambo & threw them out the window during an argument? This is something you should really think about b/c Chris Brown's reaction pretty much cost him his career (at least for the next few months until people move on to the next scandal).

Bastardly reports about what led up to & what happened during the big explosion that left Rihanna unconscious & battered are flooding in...

1. Rihanna and Chris started arguing after leaving Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party (see pics) on Saturday.

2. Arguing got pretty bad---so bad that Chris Brown had to pull over his silver Lambo to regulate (see pics of the couple filling gas that evening).

3. In a freakish rage, Rihanna tossed the keys to the Lambo out the window.

4. In an even freakier rage, Chris Brown stepped out the car & searched for the keys.

5. After an unsuccessful search, he returned to the car did what any abusive boyfriend would've done in his position. He proceeded to wrap his hands around Rihanna's neck & screamed: "I'm going to kill you." It was probably more like, "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU FUCKING BITCH!"

6. At this point it's being reported by drama-queen anonymous bastards that Rihanna lost consciousness.

7. During Rihanna's unconsciousness state of mind, Chris proceeded to go into Mike Tyson mode by biting Rihanna's face leaving "horrific" scars (split lip, bruised face and bite marks).

8. By the time Rihanna came back into consciousness, Chris Brown had ran back to his 5-star Beverly Hills hotel.

Good news in all this horrible shit is that Rihanna's family is reassuring her fans that she is recovering well. Her grandmother Clara Brathwaite said: "I don't want people to worry. Rihanna is fine and she is doing well."

On the other hand, Chris Brown's family's reaction is not as supportive.
Chris Brown's former step-father: Claims he "wouldn't be surprised" if the singer had assaulted Rihanna.
Chris Brown's Mom: "I wouldn't be surprised. Chris has to take responsibility for his own actions."

It appears Rihanna & Chris Brown are finally experiencing the cost of fame. As with most celebrities these days, they ride high for a while & then one day, tragedy strikes---whether it's a sex tape, drugs, alcohol or in Rihanna's case, getting your face cut up by your wacko boyfriend who everyone thought was an angel.

The LAPD is still citing rules to protect victims of domestic abuse, so they haven't confirmed that Rihanna is the victim in the case. Luckily, bastardly people close to the case are anonymously dropping key details. Here's some of the chatter:

Photos of the wounds reportedly show major contusions on both sides of the 20-year-old singer's face, with serious swelling and bruising, including a split lip and a bloody nose, as well as bite marks on one of her arms and several fingers. [TMZ via MTV]

Holy shit. He did all this while seated inside a Lambo?! God damn.

"Rihanna was brought through the back entrance on a gurney, flanked by two LAPD officers," the source said. "It was impossible to know it was her at first because when they wheeled her past me, she had the hood on her fuchsia-colored sweatshirt tightly drawn round her face and she was wearing big brown sunglasses. ... I knew the person was famous because of all the attention she was being given by security and medical staff."

The witness said the curtain was not drawn the entire time and they were able to confirm that it was Rihanna and that she was interviewed by police for nearly an hour. "Rihanna was clearly very upset by what had happened and I could hear her screaming," the eyewitness said. "Rihanna was trying to get her point across about something; she sounded like she was crying as she tried to get to put her point across."

Brown reportedly fled the scene of the incident on foot with the keys to the rented silver Lamborghini the couple was driving in following the alleged attack, leaving Rihanna "beaten really badly and hysterical" by the side of the road, a source told E! Online. [E! via MTV]

UPDATE: This is a interesting snippet:

TMZ also reports that she was NOT assaulted with a deadly weapon. Apparently, according to penal code, "deadly weapon" might not mean what you or I think of right away.

And according to reports from law enforcement officials, Rihanna suffered bruises and bite marks. [The Dish Rag @ LA Times]

Chris Brown is in some real deep shit. He's already posted $50,000 bail so he's out of custody but the investigation continues. But really, is there much to investigate? I mean, clearly we see Chris Brown and Rihanna leaving the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party together.

I'm just going to assume that's the Lamborgini above as mentioned in the statement. "sources said that about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Brown and a woman got into an argument in a rented Lamborghini on North June Street in Hancock Park."

I guess for legal considerations Rihanna couldn't be named but who the fuck else would it be? And as the reports go, "police say Brown and his companion "became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker." Source

Chris Brown has been charged with "suspicion of making criminal threats, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of four years." Yeah, he'll probably get probation and have to go to anger management classes or something even less. Fucking bastard.

Chris Brown was scheduled to perform, "Forever", while Rihanna was scheduled to perform a medley of "Disturbia" and "Live Your Life".
