Not along the lines of prestige as the 2012 Met Costume Institute Gala is the "NYLON Magazine Celebrates The Annual May Young Hollywood Issue" party that took place last night at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. After taking a look at the attendees who would you say is the headliner of the bunch that is actually recognized by atleast 40% of the readers that come here; granted 40% means maybe 8 of the 20 that can actually connect excluding myself and Moe. Missing from the event was Victoria Justice who apparently appears in a photoshoot for the May issue, you can view those photos here. The American Red Cross of Santa Monica held their annual Red Tie Affair at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. Honorees of the event weren't any of the ladies posted above but rather they were Jamie Lee Curtis receiving the "American Red Cross Crystal Cross Humanitarian Award", Denis Leary received the "Spirit of Service Award", J.R. Martinez received the "Spirit of Inspiration Award", and Dr. Timothy Miller received the "Rick Crocker Spirit of Volunteerism Award". Basically it's a love triangle where the two dudes are CIA agents both dating Reese Witherspoon's character, Lauren Scott. As most of you bastards know, 2011 American Music Awards went down on ABC last night with performances from a long list of acts including Drake, Nikki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique, J. Bieber, Chris Brown, Katy Perry, will.i.am & many others! I guess ABC couldn't afford Jay-Z & Kanye, but that's cool since they'll be hitting basic cable when the VS Fashion Show hits CBS on November 29.

Not that any of you give a shit, but they did give away awards at the show. Of course, just like every other cookie-cutter award show, Taylor Swift & Adele were the big winners, each taking home three AMAs (Taylor: Artist of the Year, Favorite Country Female Artist, & Favorite Country Album). Other winners included Nikki Minaj with two AMAs, Maroon 5, Usher, & Beyonce. The fact that Kanye wasn't present & didn't win tells you a lot about the AMAs. For a full list of winners, check here.

For those of you who missed it, we had an earlier set form the 2011 Environmental Media Awards featuring other ladies at the event. By far, Emmanuelle Chriqui was the hottest in attendance.

The purpose of the awards was to recognize productions that promoted going green. The six that were honored this year including Yogi Bear, Revenge of the Electric Car, Futurama, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, HGTV Green Home 2011, and Real Time with Bill Maher.
