In a recent interview, Eva LaRue commented on how she's seen Latinas in tv evolve... from maids and hookers, apparently.

“Twenty years ago when I first got into the business there was literally no Latinas working in primetime television unless they were the odd recurring role as the maid or the hooker. It was pretty pathetic. Now, it has come so far.”

Here's what she had to say about the new season of CSI: Miami:

It’s definitely going back to what they were doing in the first couple of seasons where everyone is working together as a team. We’re not going to be paired off as much. David [Caruso] is going to be back in the lab a lot more this season. Delco (Adam Rodríguez) is obviously leaving this season. [Rodríguez] is simply irreplaceable, but things happen. There are a lot of changes this season, it’s going to be really good. Source

Eva LaRue (born Eva Maria LaRuy on December 27, 1966) is an American actress.

She has recently announced her engagement to businessman Joe Cappuccio, whom she met last fall through a friend.

The two plan to return to Africa for the wedding because it holds "a special place" in her heart since Joe proposed there while on vacation. ‘Terrace’ pretends to have something to say

Most disappointing is the fact that writers Korder and David Loughery couldn’t resist giving us the scene where Jackson explains to Wilson (and the audience) exactly why he’s got it in for the couple, wrapping his motivations up in a tidy bow and explaining away any of the complicated, messy impulses that an actual human being might have. That moment feels like the worst of old Hollywood, where everything has to be underlined and the villain’s raison d’être has to be fully laid-out before good triumphs over evil. MSNBC

'CSI: Miami' Star Eva LaRue Engaged

"I was driven to tears and totally speechless as he placed the four-carat ring on my finger,” she says.

After two failed marriages with actors, LaRue expressed happiness over the course of her relationship with a guy who is not in show business.

"We hit it off, and we've been inseparable ever since. He owns a seafood company and exports fish all over the world,” she says . “A totally different business, which is awesome!” Source
