I know some of you bastards find this woman on the annoying & overrated side, but any which way you look at it, Gwyneth Paltrow is lookin' absolutely slammin' in this dress! And the freaky shoes aren't bad, either...

I know we already saw a premiere event for this flick a month back (see: Karolina Kurkova & Selita Ebanks), so it appears as if this movie will premiere in every big city around the world before it goes straight to DVD. Since Valentino's movie premiere brings so many hot women together in one place, we're really looking forward to the South American leg of the premiere tour.

About the movie:

Two Lovers is a 2008 American drama film starring Joaquin Phoenix, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Vinessa Shaw. It is directed by James Gray and set in Brighton Beach in New York. It premiered in competition at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival in May. This film is Gray's third to enter the competition at this festival.

The Gwyneth Paltrow backlash over Goop.com

Gwyneth Paltrow's new lifestyle/advice website, Goop.com, went up yesterday in preview form, but the backlash is already well underway. The site will be a collection of recommendations and musings from Gwyneth herself about things that make her life special.... but the road ahead looks bumpy for this little operation! It's not just that no one wants to take life direction from the girl who has it all -- though that's a powerful thread in the criticism of the site. There are also some more basic technical problems on display, starting with the layout of the two-page site. It's not clear why she bothered to put it up with so little content on it. It feels like something that won an award for Web design in 1998. Source

Clarkson band joins forces with rocker Avril Lavigne

Clarkson band illScarlett's fame continues to grow.

The foursome will join pop-punk Avril Lavigne for the east coast swing of her Best Damn Tour.

The band, including vocalist and guitarist Alex Norman, guitarist Will Marr, bassist John Doherty and drummer and singer Swav Piorkowski, will replace Boys Like Girls on the tour. The guys will join Lavigne for the Aug. 6 show at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto and will play six dates, finishing up on Aug. 13 at the Mile One Centre in St. John's Newfoundland. [MS News]

Paltrow's penchant for fried foods

Gwyneth Paltrow has told how she swapped from a super-healthy diet to fried food like fish and chips.

Paltrow, who sipped a pint of her favourite tipple - Guinness - during an interview with Jonathan Ross, said what she ate changed after becoming pregnant.

She said: "I was seriously macrobiotic for four years. When I got pregnant, it changed. I couldn't go near anything healthy. I love anything fried - fish and chips - Branston pickle, red wine." Source

GWYNETH PALTROW - PALTROW DENIES SNUBBING HER OWN PARTY

On Saturday (26Apr08), Paltrow's spokesperson said, "Gwyneth was never meant to attend the afterparty. She was at a taping of the Jonathan Ross show (a British talk show) which ran late and then she went home to be with her children. Everyone was told weeks ago that she would not be attending.

"She has said many times that she deliberately does not make public appearances with her husband." Source
