“My parents were so strict!” Hudson, 30, told the New York Daily News. “[They refused to buy me] everything.

“All of us [kids] had to pay for our first car, and you know … I’m the same way. I’m probably a little more lenient with Ryder because my parents were so strict.

“Everybody’s struggles are different. But when it comes to how you raise your children, I think those values are pretty standard.” Source

I had the displeasure of sitting through this chick-flick earlier this week & wasn't too impressed, to say the least. I'm kinda shocked Anne Hathaway signed up for the project in the first place.

"Bride Wars" is opening to reviews that range from bad to terrible. The Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway film, also produced by Hudson, opens today nationwide. The film has been registering just 11% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The New York Times ended its Bride Wars review with "Die, Bridezilla, die!" in one of the less-scathing reviews out there, calling the film "a dopey if largely painless romantic comedy." The review also singled out Hudson's work of late, calling it "often as inconsequential as almost every other Kate Hudson movie of the last decade."

Kate Hudson struggles to find a man because her tastes are so similar to other women's.

"Girls are so funny when they say what they look
for in a guy because they always say things like honesty and humor. "But that really is what I look for too - so I guess I am just like most girls."

The 29-year-old actress recently spoke of her struggle to find a partner following her divorce, but insisted she will never stop searching.

She said: "I got married at 21 and it lasted for seven years. I guess I've been in the dating game for like two-and-a-half years now. "But I've only dated like three guys. It's like you meet people, and you enjoy people, and they either work or they don't. Then one day, you find the person that actually really works." Source

Kate Hudson has choice words for new movie

But unlike the others that were aimed at audiences of most all ages, "My Best Friend's Girl," which debuts in theaters on Friday, features strong language and sexual content, which restricts the U.S. audience mostly to adults.

"I finally got to swear and say and do certain things that most people say to each other in normal, everyday life," Hudson said.

"I got a little taste of what those 'Sex and the City' girls were up to for so long, which was fun," she added, noting May's adult-oriented, blockbuster comedy based on the lives and love affairs of four single women living in New York City. Source
