CANNES 2012: Fashionable Ladies @ amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala

So, Kim Kardashian probably thinks she belongs at these events, huh? It's a little sad that she's there b/c let's face it, there aren't too many other porn stars-turned reality TV stars in attendance at this particular event nor any other events at the festival. I guess that's just one of the perks of letting Kanye West use & abuse you behind closed doors (assuming that their relationship is a real one, of course).

As a side note, funnyman Alec Baldwin, who's been giving his new fiance Hilaria Thomas a taste of the high life in Cannes, was scheduled to host the gala, but curiously pulled out at the last minute. Rumor has it that he got into a small fight with big-dogg Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein earlier in the week. Considering Harvey's Entertainment God, don't be surprised to see Alec Baldwin's life fall apart in the near future.

We didn't get a photo of him here, but Super Man Whore Gerard Butler was at the event looking for yet another hot piece of ass. The guy never ceases to amaze me & the fact that I'm overflowing with envy right now forces me to hate him more & more. For the record, he was seen dropping a few lines on Diane Kruger while her man, Joshua Jackson, was cruising around the room. I guess Gerard likes to plant sex seeds inside prospective future sex partners---not a bad idea if your goal is to fuck every hot piece of ass on the planet. That bastard.

The Cannes Film Festival's most glamorous party went down on Thursday evening at the ultra-luxurious Hotel du Cap in Antibes. The annual amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS gala featured a long list of celebrities, models & straight up filthy rich people in attendance including big ticket names like Karl Lagerfeld, Kenneth Cole, Harvey Weinstein, sugar daddy Gerard Butler & a long list of A-thru-Z-List ladies, some of whom we've showcased here. You read a full review of the event here.

Cannes Film Festival: Kristen Stewart & Kirsten Dunst @ "On The Road" Photocall

One of today's featured films at the 65th Cannes Film Festival is the Walter Salles-directed "On The Road," starring a deep cast including Kirsten Dunst, Kristen Stewart, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Sam Riley & Garret Hedlund. The film is based on the Jack Kerouac novel of the same name. As some of you might remember Kirsten Dunst won the Best Actress award at Cannes last year for her work in "Melancholia" by controversial director Lars von Trier (awesome flick, by the way), so let's see how things go this time around.

Expect to see a very glamorous red carpet event in a few hours. In the meantime, here's more info about the film, including a few stills & the trailer.
Just after his father’s death, Sal Paradise, an aspiring New York writer, meets Dean Moriarty, a devastatingly charming ex-con, married to the very liberated and seductive Marylou. Sal and Dean bond instantly. Determined not to get locked in to a constricted life, the two friends cut their ties and take to the road with Marylou. Thirsting for freedom, the three young people head off in search of the world, of other encounters, and of themselves. [Source]

Kirsten Dunst Wins Best Actress @ Cannes Film Festival

Kirsten Dunst scored big at the Cannes Film Festival by bagging the best actress award for her work in "Melancholia." As you bastards know, the film's directed by the now-controversial Lars von Trier, who's now banned from attending the festival due to his somewhat drunken comments to the press that he understood Hitler and that he 'was a Nazi'. What's up with all these dudes in high places saying shit against Jews?! Don't they understand what makes this system tick? Note to all talented/famous people looking to talk shit about certain segments of the human population: You can't take shots at Jews, Prophet Mohammad & gays! Instead, why not make fun of black people, Muslim extremists or even Mexicans b/c apparently you can do that w/ complete immunity!!

Anyway, for those of you who don't know much about the film, here's more:
The film begins with the destruction of Earth and then jumps back in time.[1] The story will be about two sisters, Justine and Claire (Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg), who are becoming increasingly distant from each other.[2] There will be a wedding during the first part of the film between Justine and Michael (Alexander Skarsgård). Soon after the wedding Justine becomes melancholic, which makes her stay calm when Earth is threatened by a collision with another planet that has recently emerged from behind the sun, while Claire, on the other hand, becomes fearful of what is to come.[1] Trier has said that he considers all of his previous films to end happily, and that this will be the first with an unhappy ending.
