"It's the same in that it's a new family in Beverly Hills, but we are the Wilsons, not the Walshes," she said. "One of our children is adopted and African-American. I really love that aspect of the story line."

Loughlin, 43, will play Celia Mills, a wife, mom and photographer. She will have one biological child, a daughter played by Shenea Grimes, and an adoptive African-American son played by Tristan Wilds. Loughlin told People.com, "It's a contemporary family. It's fitting more of what's happening today in families."

Loughlin said the new show will be like the old show in that it will center on a group of high school teenagers dealing with the ups and downs of today's world.
