Sorry, we didn't have a pic of Chifundo.

Actually, we shouldn't jump to conclusions b/c as of right now, Madonna and (especially) Chifundo are anxiously awaiting the result of a court decision in Malawi. How cool is that?

Four-year-old girl, Chifundo "Mercy" James, is simply one decision away from hitting the mega jackpot of western adoptions! It's stories like these that make me wanna move to an African orphanage! God damn!

I'm curious how it would feel to have an ultra-rich & famous woman walk into my impoverished African orphanage & chose me over the rest of the kids!? I wonder what characteristic caught Madonna's eye? Does she have some sort of competition to see who's best?!

Anyway, as with every other celebrity adoption, the press is scrutinizing the whole process. They feel like it's an injustice for rich people to come into developing countries and yank young kids out of their poor existence and into a world full of every imaginable luxury available on the planet. Why can't the press be a lil' more sensitive to the situation and throw Chifundo a pre-court decision party?!

These were snapped at a sold-out concert in Sao, Paulo, Brazil a few days back.

Believe it or not, but Madonna turned 50 earlier this year and for some odd reason the woman is touring as if she's a 20 year old newbie artist desperately trying to build worldwide buzz for her first album. After seeing these pics, I can kinda see why Madonna's marriage with Brit director Guy Ritchie fell apart. Madonna's obviously OCD personality can be attributed one or more of the following:

1. She's obsessively dedicated to her line of work
2. She has the ego the size of planet earth and desperately wants to stay in the limelight until she's dead
3. She has an insatiable love for money & fame
4. She's heavily in debt and needs to pay up quick
5. She's in total denial of her age & naively believes she can outsmart nature

I have a feeling Madonna's gonna go out with a bang. I simply can't see this woman being wheeled around by one of her bodyguards until one day she naturally passes away. If anything, she won't allow it to happen. As tragic as this may sound, but I have a feeling she'll be flying high for the next 5-10 years, and then soon after the roller coaster ride will abruptly end with Madonna's car flying off the tracks (i.e. drugs, skydiving incident, airplane--who knows?)

It appears as if Madonna's US rep (now probably her ex- US rep) gave the AP incorrect information regarding her highly publicized divorce to British director Guy Ritchie. Here's the statement released from the Madonna/Ritchie camp:

"We have tried to maintain a dignified silence regarding the details of our divorce for the last few months whilst accepting the obvious media interest.

"A misleading and inaccurate statement, specifically in relation to the sums of money involved, was wrongly issued to AP this week.

"The financial details of the settlement will remain private, save to say that both of us are happy with our agreement.

"Our primary concern, like any co-parents, is the care and well being of our children."

Since we here at Bastardly are always optimistic when it comes to dudes winning massive amounts of cash in a divorce settlement, we're gonna assume the actual settlement is much more than previously stated.

Whatever the case, if Guy Ritchie won $50mil, it's like winning the fucking lottery because you fathered children with a human gold mine. Even though we're overflowing with envy, we gotta give Guy Ritchie major props for pulling this off! Good for him!
