L.A.: "The Vow" Star Rachel McAdams Drives A Mini Cooper Convertible!

These were snapped earlier in the week as actress Rachel McAdams was seen out & about Beverly Hills in her convertible Mini Cooper. She first stopped off at a friend's apartment before heading to the Dio boutique. As some of you guys might know, Rachel is doing a ton of promotional work for her new film "The Vow," which hits theaters on Friday. Here's an excerpt from an recent interview Rachel did w/ Reuters:
Q: "The Vow" is actually based on a real story that happened to a couple from New Mexico. Did you meet Krickitt Carpenter, the woman upon whom the character Paige is based?

A: "I did. Both Channing and I met her and her husband (Kim Carpenter). It was nerve wracking at first because you want to do justice to their story. At the same time, our story was only inspired by them, so we were playing different people. But they are an incredible couple. They had a strong faith in God and had that to fall back on. They had only been married two months when it happened in the early '90s. Today they have two children."

Q: Your other film out there, "Midnight in Paris," is nominated for four Academy Awards, including best directing and writing for Woody Allen. Are you surprised at its success?

A: "You never know how these things will go. Reading the script, I loved the sentiment. I loved this idea of Golden Age thinking and that maybe we should just celebrate the time we're in rather than wishing we were somewhere else. Woody continues to communicate truths about life in such a funny and wonderful way that not all of us can articulate. I love that people responded to this film." [Source]

Amber Heard & Rachel McAdams Shine @ "Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows" Premiere

"Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," director Guy Ritche's sequel to the 2009 film "Sherlock Holmes" premiered last night at the Village Theater in Los Angeles. The film will go into wide-release on December 16. Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law will reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, respectively. Here's more about the film:
Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) has always been the smartest man in the room…until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large—Professor James Moriarty (Jared Harris)—and not only is he Holmes’ intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder—a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by one Professor Moriarty. Mixing business with pleasure, Holmes tracks the clues to an underground gentlemen’s club, where he and his brother, Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry) are toasting Dr. Watson (Jude Law) on his last night of bachelorhood. It is there that Holmes encounters Sim (Noomi Rapace), a Gypsy fortune teller, who sees more than she is telling and whose unwitting involvement in the prince’s murder makes her the killer’s next target. Holmes barely manages to save her life and, in return, she reluctantly agrees to help him. The investigation becomes ever more dangerous as it leads Holmes, Watson and Sim across the continent, from England to France to Germany and finally to Switzerland. But the cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead as he spins a web of death and destruction—all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history. [Source]

Cannes Film Festival, Day 2: "Sleeping Beauty" Premiere Red Carpet

Just in case you bastards missed "Sleeping Beauty" star Emily Browning from the premiere, check it here.

As for the others in attendance, I'm really diggin' Diane Kruger from the red carpet! I heard a rumor that French actress Marion Cotillard stole Diane's longtime boyfriend Joshua Jackson recently. Any truth to the rumor?

And, I know some of you weight-haters are calling Aishwarya Rai fat. Sure she put on a lil' weight, but I think it's for the best! Meatiness is a great addition to a woman's body, damn it!! Ow!
