Solange Piaget Knowles[1] (born June 24, 1986) professionally known as Solange is an American actress, R&B and pop singer, songwriter, producer, model, and dancer. She is the younger sister of R&B singer Beyoncé.

Knowles has been promoting Baby Jamz, a hip-hop/rhythm inspired toy line for preschoolers. She is executive producer of the CD, updated hip-hop inspired nursery rhymes, and the music featured in all of the toys. Knowles' son, Julez, is the face of Baby Jamz.

She is currently working with a Private Equity firm to help finance special projects in distribution, promotions and marketing music with Music World Entertainment and Interscope. The Private Equity firm is focusing on buying and selling music licensing rights to the movie industry and consumer products like Coca-Cola, Alcohol beverages and Proctor & Gamble Company products. These were snapped @ the opening of Jay-Z's 40/40 Club at The Palazzo Resort-Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas

A couple days back, reports surfaced that Jay-Z's pimped-out nightclub didn't have meet Vegas healthy & safety codes after failing some building inspections, but it appears the club will be open for biz for the big New Year's Eve bash set to go down w/ big name stars later tonight.

Bey arrived with her younger sister SOLANGE and the two made for quite a sight on the red carpet.

An onlooker said: "Beyonce and Solange lit up the room.

"It's clear the good looks run in the family."

The big man himself arrived in style, wearing a fitted three-piece suit with cool shades to complete the look. [The Sun]

Solange Piaget Knowles-Smith (born June 24, 1986 in Houston, Texas) is an American actress, R&B singer and songwriter. She is the younger sister of R&B/soul singer and Destiny's Child member Beyoncé Knowles. She is managed by her father, Mathew Knowles, who also managed Destiny's Child. Her mother is of Creole descent and father of African American ancestry.

In 2002, Knowles released her debut single, "Feelin' You", from her debut album, Solo Star, which was released in January 2003. The album debuted in the top 50 of the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart. [Wiki]
