In a 2007 US Magazine interview, Pratt revealed previous substance abuse problems and discussed an incident in which Pratt shoplifted $1,300 worth of merchandise from a Neiman Marcus in Honolulu in 2006, where she was working as a production assistant on ABC’s "LOST". [Source]

Now that Lauren Conrad is not on The Hills and Audrina Patridge is working on her stupid spin-off, looks like MTV wants to give Stephanie Pratt (who?!) a bigger push. Stephanie Pratt has one of the lamest Wiki pages. One sentence is that she "is regularly featured on E!'s The Soup". Yeah, I've caught a couple episodes where Joel McHale makes fun of her.. probably not the best thing to be mentioned on. If you saw the recent issue of Us Weekly, Stephanie Pratt was on the cover and the headline was how The Hills made her bulimic. First off, how the hell did she get on the cover of a magazine? Is Us Weekly desperate or did Stephanie sleep with the editor in chief? Okay, back to the main focus... well, after this cover broke, Stephanie conveniently talks via an MTV new article that in fact The Hills didn't make her bulimic but rather she's been dealing with an eating disorder way before she joined the MTV show. My guess is that MTV Execs weren't happy with the article and "suggested" to Stephanie to retract such a statement against The Hills. Either way, we still think she's worthless just like the rest of them.

" 'The Hills' did not make me bulimic," she told MTV News Wednesday night. "It was my own issues with self-esteem, and if anything, my life on 'The Hills' has only helped me get healthy, 'cause I know how lucky I am to have this job and to have the chance to be a role model."

"I'm the latest castmember to come on the show, and I look up to all of them, and I'm definitely not going to be like, 'Oh, Lauren, you're so great, but I'm a disaster,' " she said. "And so I kept it a secret, and that's when it's bad. The more I can stress about being honest, [the better]. Again, you are as healthy as your secrets." Source (MTV)
